Do you want to improve your physical health while exploring the walking trails in the North Simcoe community? Join Chigamik’s Nordic Pole Walking group! This popular form of exercise is not only fun but has increased health benefits compared to regular walking. The group also practices additional lower and upper body, stretches and balance exercises. Not sure how to use Nordic Poles? Instruction on how to use the poles will always be available. 

Take advantage of the many benefits Nordic Pole walking has to offer:

  • Increases cardiovascular health
  • Improves strength, posture, balance, and mobility
  • Increases calorie output
  • Decreases stress on lower body joints

No need to register, simply drop in! Walking group meeting locations rotate on a weekly basis. See location breakdown below:
 
1st Wednesday of the month: Little Lake Park (meet at the Community Garden)
2nd Wednesday of the month: Rotary Park in Penetang (meet at the Curling Club)
3rd Wednesday of the month: Little Lake Park (meet at the Community Garden)
4th Wednesday of the month: Midland Town Dock
*5th Wednesday of the month: Little Lake Park (meet at the Community Garden)
