Join us for a beginner yoga program. Yoga is an ancient discipline that explores, develops and integrates the mind, body and spirit. Yoga stretches and strengthens muscles throughout the body, increases relaxation and improves concentration. This program is open to individuals 8 years and up.

*This program is delivered in FRENCH. Participants must register prior to start of program.

“Red Scarf” Knitting Group – Lafontaine

The Red Scarf Project’s goal is to improve the lives of those living with, affected by and at risk for HIV/AIDS. Participants in this drop-in social knitting group will knit red scarfs to help raise awareness about HIV/AIDS. Once completed, participants can wear their scarf to show their support or give it to someone in need. No knitting experience required. *All materials are provided at no cost.

If the term “joyful workout” sounds like fun, it might be time to give NIA a try! The NIA exercise technique is a mind and body physical conditioning program that stands for “non-impact aerobics.” Through the essence of dance, martial and healing arts participants will learn the basic movements of Nia. This class is taught in French by Céleste Lalonde, licensed instructor in the Nia Technique. Beginners are welcome! *Please dress comfortably.
