Centre de sant\u00e9 communautaire Chigamik Community Health Centre (CSC Chigamik CHC) has once again joined the GivingTuesday movement in Canada \u2013 a global day of generosity happening on November 29, 2022. Just as Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season, GivingTuesday is the opening day of the giving season and continues to gain traction across the country. Since 2013, GivingTuesday has united millions of Canadians to support and champion the causes they believe in and the communities in which they live.<\/p>\n

This GivingTuesday, CSC Chigamik CHC is asking members of the community to support its goal of raising funds to provide families living in North Simcoe with \u201cready to cook\u201d meals for the holidays. Chigamik staff will assemble the food baskets and deliver them to local families. Donated funds through this campaign will also support the purchase of grocery gift cards and supplies for Chigamik\u2019s emergency food cupboard \u2013 to help support individuals and families struggling with food access throughout the year.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy joining the GivingTuesday campaign again this year, we\u2019re hoping to inspire everyone in our community to promote the spirit of giving back,\u201d said Suzanne Marchand, Executive Director, CSC Chigamik CHC. \u201cAt a time when we are all experiencing the continued effects of the pandemic, GvingTuesday is an opportunity for people to come together and encourage kindness. Whether it\u2019s helping a neighbor, advocating for an issue, sharing a skill, or giving to a charity, every act of generosity counts.”<\/p>\n

On November 29th and throughout the holiday season, CSC Chigamik CHC is encouraging donors to support giving back to their community. Donations can be made to CSC Chigamik CHC.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
