The Gilbert Centre’s Red Scarf Project’s goal is to improve the lives of those living with, affected by and at risk for HIV/AIDS. Participants are asked to knit red scarves to help raise awareness about HIV/AIDS. Once completed, the scarves will be picked up, placed into plastic bags and delivered to local homeless shelters and food banks. *All knitting supplies will be provided at no cost and an online tutorial will be available to those who need guidance.

This 6-week online self-management program is for anyone living with a chronic condition including diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, lung disease, as well as any other chronic health issues. Each week participants will learn skills that can help them better manage their symptoms through healthy eating, physical activity, action planning, communication and more.
Join us for a 6-week online beginner yoga program – en français! Yoga is an ancient discipline that explores, develops and integrates the mind, body and spirit. Yoga stretches and strengthens muscles throughout the body, increases relaxation and improves concentration.

Is your child looking to pursue a job in babysitting? This babysitting certification from the Canadian Safety Council, is being held on a PD day and is for youth ages 12 years and older. Topics such as handling emergencies, basic first aid training, identifying risks, and how to care for children of various ages will be discussed. *A free pizza lunch and healthy snacks will be provided.
