Chigamik is an RNAO Indigenous Focused Best Practice Spotlight Organization

CSC Chigamik CHC is pleased to be designated as the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario’s (RNAO) Indigenous Best Practices Spotlight Organization (BPSO).

Chigamik has a passion and commitment to providing the highest standard of care in our community. Our Indigenous programs and services are grounded in Traditional knowledge, combined with evidence-based practices and guidelines to ensure we are providing our clients with the best possible care. As part of our BPSO designation, we have introduced high-quality interventions and tools to better equip our CHC to support client care excellence. The two Best Practice Guidelines that we’ve implemented so far include screening tools and early intervention support resources for our Indigenous perinatal mental health program, along with smoking cessation support services for Indigenous clients. Our goal is to share our knowledge and expand our programs with other Indigenous organizations in our community.
