This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join hands with Chigamik Community Health Centre in our mission to spread warmth and care throughout North Simcoe by donating to our Winter Wellness program.
Imagine facing the harsh cold without the basic essentials. A little care goes a long way. Your generous donations will help us supply blankets, hats, mitts, personal care items, chapstick, essential vitamins, and first aid necessities like bandaids and polysporin to individuals struggling in our community.
Your contribution ensures that no one faces these challenges alone. Every donation counts, and every act of kindness multiplies. Chigamik’s Health Equity Endowment Fund supports the ongoing mission of Chigamik – to equip our communities to achieve optimal health and wellbeing through education, health promotion and illness prevention. Proceeds from this fund will support the development of culturally-inclusive and bilingual community programs and services that address the social determinants of health. This includes traditional healing, emergency food programs, social prescribing, Indigenous Doula support, French Language System Navigation and other community initiatives that support a more equitable future for everyone.
Proceeds from this fund will support initiatives that are critical to maintaining or improving access to services for clients of Chigamik and for people living in North Simcoe Muskoka. Donations are used to help community members with such items as prescriptions, transportation, food, and other immediate needs.
