Primary Health Care

Chigamik offers primary health care to registered clients, in English and French, including the services of:

• Nurse Practitioners
• Family Doctors (Physicians)
• Registered Nurses

Our culturally respectful services are grounded in the philosophy of client-centred care, striving for individual and community empowerment. Our primary care team looks at all the factors that contribute to an individual’s health and well-being. Clients within the clinic are assigned a family doctor and/or a nurse practitioner, as well as a nurse. Some of the services primary care provides include:

• Pre and post-natal care
• Illness prevention
• Foot care
• Chronic disease monitoring and management
• Health teachings
• Outreach care for seniors
• Appointments through Telemedicine
• Referrals for counselling and additional services
