Indigenous Diabetes Foot Care

Regular foot care significantly improves comfort, mobility and the general health of your feet. This is particularly important for people with diabetes because regular foot care can prevent problems associated with diabetes and assist in early identification and care if problems do occur.

Our Foot Care services include:

  • Foot care assessment
  • Nail cutting and filing
  • Care of ingrown toe nails
  • Corn and callus care
  • Education on foot hygiene and proper footwear
  • Diabetic foot care education

Eligibility: This program is funded specifically for Individuals who are First Nation, Métis or Inuit and have diabetes or are at risk of developing diabetes. To access this service, you must reside in the North Simcoe Muskoka region and be 12 years of age or older. 

How to Access: Please complete the registration form below. You will receive a phone call within three business days from our Reception Team to schedule your session. Prior to your appointment, you will be emailed consent forms to complete electronically. These forms must be completed prior to your appointment.
